This is a double spring on a garage door.

  • This is high cycle spring and  it lasts around 60,000. Standard in the garage door industry is 10,000.
  • This system is perfect for the person used the garage door as their front door.
  • The two springs cancel each other out and does not have the wear on the end plates.
  • Having two springs make more sense because in the future when one of the spring breaks you can lift the door up and you only have to lift half of the weight of the door because of the spring not broken is working for you that way you. This is really important because you never know when the spring will break.
  • Installing two springs is best because then we can use two different springs so that we can balance your door just right. This is very important because the easier the opener works the longer it will last.

Things we inspect before we replace the garage door springs.

We Inspect all moving parts related the garage door and operator to make sure everything is good condition and installed the way it is supposed to be. We inspect the wood behind the spring bracket, torsion tube, door sections for cracks, #1 hinges , #2 hinges, #3 hinges, rollers, cables, end bearing plates, vertical tracks, horizontal track and back hangs. We also look the garage door operator.

We Inspect the wood the wood the garage door spring bracket is attached too. If a crack is there then the garage door spring bracket could come out and the door could fall down.
We Inspect the garage door torsion tube to make sure it is in good condition.
We Inspect the end bearing plates to make sure the bearing are in good shape and can turn freely when the garage door is being used. If you have these plastic we have metal ones that we can install that are much better.
We Inspect the garage door spring cables and make sure there are no loose strands. If the cables fail then the garage door will fall on one side. Very dangerous.
