Sacramento Garage Door Options
Choosing the right garage door
At ADM Garage Doors, we sell a variety of garage doors from top seller Wayne-Dalton. We install doors made from differnt materials, in different styles, and with features like insulation and pinch resistance.
Garage Door Material
Wayne-Dalton offers garage doors in three basic styles, each with its own advantages.
- Steel — This garage door material is popular because of its durability, relative light weight, and its affordability. We sell models with different levels of weather protection and with ornamental features. Thicker steel doors perform better than their thinner counterparts, and we sell high-quality Wayne-Dalton steel doors.
- Insulated Fiberglass — Made with steel cores surrounded by fiberglass, these doors provide excellent weather resistance and last longer than steel doors. If you have an attached garage, these doors reduce your energy costs during the cool winter and hot summer months.
- Wooden — No other door can match the beauty of a wooden door, and Wayne-Dalton manufactures doors with high-quality timber. The classic carriage house look of these doors can make your home stand out, but they do require painting and staining every few years.
Garage Door Style/Aesthetics
- Classic — Single-piece wooden doors in particular offer an antique look for your home exterior.
- Modern — Full-view garage doors offer a sleek aesthetic for any contemporary home, with minimal, uniform style.
- Popular —Customizable, sectional garage doors in steel and fiberglass can be outfitted with color combinations and panel styles to match any home.
Other style factors to consider include window panes in different shapes and handles in various styles, among other features.
Insulation/Weatherproofing
Today’s garage door manufacturer’s offer models with high-tech insulation, which keeps out the heat and cold. We provide Wayne-Dalton overhead door models equipped with polyurethane insulation, which offers superior weather protection than thicker, less fire-resistant polystyrene insulation doors.
Insulated garage doors cost more, but provide a long-term money savings because of their energy efficiency and durability. We sell models with and without insulation.
Type of spring system
The type of spring used in your garage can make a large difference in its safety and operation.
- Torsion Springs — This spring system uses a powerful counterbalance system to enable you to lift heavier garage doors, such as wooden doors and two-car garage doors. Because of their strength, only a professional should ever service them.
- Extension Springs — These springs cost less, and are generally appropriate for smaller garages. Two extension springs work together to lift the garage, and they should be replaced at the same time if you experience problems with one.
- TorqueMaster and TorqueMaster Pro — These hinges on Wayne-Dalton doors house the springs of garage doors for greater safety and quieter operations. TorqueMaster Pro also includes an anti-fall mechanism, which stops doors that may be falling rapidly because a spring broke.
Pinch resistance and safety features
Pinch resistance doors by Wayne-Dalton actually push fingers out from between garage door sections as they come together, preventing injury. Other safety considerations include fire resistance and anti-fall mechanisms.
